|Swooping in to save the day xP|
All of my Cosplay Photography can be found here.
(Thanks to Lucas from Super Cosplay Girls / Guys for taking the shots of us)
A week or so later was Winter LFCC in early October! Now I have been on the con circuit a long long long time (10 ish years ... because I am an old man con wise xDD) and in this time I have slowly found I enjoy way more the cons where I have room to breathe, cosplay, take photos and see friends .. Winter LFCC fulfilled this! I had an awesome time, my little woman ran her artist stall with her friends (Strawberry Tentacles ^__^).
On the Saturday I was in costume! I realised I essentially had everything in my airsoft stuff to easily put together the Stargate SG-6 Marine uniform. I <3 Stargate ok .. and I will always enjoy doing SG cosplay simply for comfort and ease of putting them together, on top of which I got to spend the day with the rest of the fun SG people and was involved in Sneaky Zebra's Cosplay music video as background for when they filmed Michael Shanks (Daniel from SG-1 xD)
I took just some crap photos on Saturday but then kinda went all out on Sunday, most of which are on here but if you haven't visited my page the album is over here CLICK ME I CONTAIN ALL THE PICTURES EVER.. From LFCC
Also here is one that may never go on dA (hence why you should like my like page ... xD, I did an oh so "Classy" B&W re-edit of one of the Dragon Age pictures of my friend Vamp Rouge Cosplay:
Gosh then there was a full 3 weeks break before MCM London Comic Con, in which time I became engaged to my beautiful little woman (Oh No I am becoming an Adult ... xD), Ahahah I tend to keep some of my personal life .. personal but this is one of the happiest moments in my life to know I am with the person I am meant to be with and who I love more than the everything and the anything .
Finally the usual bi-yearly MCM October Expo (MCM London Comic Con) occurred and honestly ... it was all right ... I know some people love Expo, and maybe I have just been going too long, but I literally only enjoyed it for the evening fun with friends .. we played Cards Against humanity which culminated in my breaking down into tear dripping laughter over this one card set -
The crush of Comic con was too much so I stuck to the outskirts, outside, the side of the Excel centre by the water and in the car park xD ... for where I took my shots, I actually took two cosplay neither of which were worn due to photography .. but I am so happy with some of the shots (which have started to be drip fed here and on my Facebook Page) that it was totally worth not cosplaying.
A wonderful shot taken by my friend Scott showing how much of a professional I am -
andddddd that's kinda all that has happened which lead onto ...
well .. not much actually xD hahaha .. I am still editing my Comic Con photos .. of which there are a great deal! (140 more minimum ... >__<) Which I suspect will take me a good month or so (As I do work a full time job and I always like to take my time editing).
I do have one photoshoot this weekend which will be of a few of my Larp friends out, we are going to a place in Hampstead heath to try and get some good shots of them in their gear and also to basically broaden my portfolio a bit . One of my not lesser Hobbies but one I only do every so often is LARP (Live Action Role Play) at a fest event called Empire, personally I love this game as the rules are simple enough, they have an online wikia of all the rules and mainly it has only just finished it's first year which means everyone is still relatively new! ... I don't have many shots of me in my gear but here is me trying my very hardest to look like a bad ass xD
Hopefully the Larp shoot will go well and I should also be putting those shot sup over the course of November / December.
I have a few other shoots I want to do once I have good Locations and something big which will remain a surprise planned for Mid-Feb next year but other wise the Winter Hibernation of cosplayer and photographers begins! .. Mainly I think I will use this time to learn a few things, Composition creation, Effect addition and Technical understanding. As I have SO much still to learn, I feel like Photography is a flower that just slowly unwraps more and more that I need to learn and remember to put into practice ... but honestly despite my own self hate of my photos (at very best I "Like" my own stuff xD) .. I know I have improved a great deal in many aspects this year
... So here is to the next year!
*Phew* that was long ... well I doubt I will do another for a few months so here is this Journals featured folk:
Till next time keep safe and have fun everyone
