Out of curiosity how long did you spend in Photoshop on these? Everything looks so clean (and the colors are great ... a weakness of mine I spend way to much time on, color correction that is)

for this one in photoshop less than 5 mins .. how ever ... xD I did spend probably about 15 - 20 mins in Lightroom on it, I do the majority of my editing in Lightroom, normally followed by very specific bits in Photoshop. :)

Lightroom? Sounds like I have some software to learn about (everything I know is self taught, so my color correction is okay at most in Photoshop)

Yup Adobe Lightroom, great for importing and working on raws (if you don't shoot in Raw shame on you! ;) ), it allows you to make custom brushes that affect the original data in a less destructive manner and the edits are saved via a separate file so you can edit and alter when ever. :)

Well I am usually pretty good at "save as" and having back up files, so overwritting isn't to much an issue. Also I am self taught mostly, so I have a lot to learn (also the way i take photos, it's snap 3 times for each photo. Put that on a 4GB CF card, and small hard drives and you get the idea).

I plan to invest in a Fixed Focus Lens, someone told me about them and I was like "oh?" (I love portrait shots, and getting it to focus right so everything other then them are blurred). Actually if you can offer any input of these that would helpful (….

That and an external flash, because of right now, I don't use the built on flash.

To be honest some of what you said feels almost over my head LOL
