Attack on Titan - Levi Ready! by faramon Attack on Titan - Levi Ready! by faramon
Levi - Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin Cosplay @ MCM Comic Con London Oct 2013

What's up turtle butt's ... this here is TT and she is my favourite Levi cosplayer of them all (and by God there are a lot).

I think she needs to make a page and call it tactical turtle ... very few will get why this thing but I don't care because inside jokes are awesome xD

Apologies for the slight softness .. basically I dun goofed.

I like the back lighting in all of this sets shots, simple but works well.

I take it you've got a lamp of some description on the ground married with a flash ?

Yup, 3 point light set up, first event I have properly been able to use it! A YN160 Panel light behind a soft umbrella for fill light, then a YN530 with a light sphere for highlight addddd finally a cheap-o YN430 set to slave as a backlight :D

.. it worked but I also now have gels so for more colour based shots I can add in some coloured light wooo :D

 Nice, I've tried similar set-ups (albeit on a smaller scale) in the past but I generally have to ghetto mod stuff I find lying about rather than buy studio equipment.

I've found that the colour filters you get with Issued brit military torches work well with lamps to get soft coloured back light =p

Ahh most of mine is outdoorsy stuff, batter run.. I am tempted to purchase some simple studio soft lights for in the house (these to be exact www.ebay.co.uk/itm/27101911454… .. if I ever figure a way to make enough space for a small indoors studio. But yeah, at current I make do as I can't afford to buy too much else ... though at the very least I really want to upgrade my panel light but still want it to be a portable one xD.

I am just impatient and want to experiment with colours xD, soooon ..

In-doorsy sort of stuff is all I've really done with lights, everything else thats outdoors is with natural light.

I've got a couple of flash guns (including a 580EX) but I've yet to actually use them for anything remotely interesting, even if I did have a use I'd have to buy a couple of transmitters since my camera doesn't support wireless flash functions...

I envy you and your cosplay goodness ;_;
